The Supreme Cuisine Showdown
Here’s how it works:
Imagine your team battling it out in an “Iron Chef” style culinary competition. The Supreme Cuisine Showdown is a four-hour hands-on culinary event from start to finish to find out “Which team's cuisine reigns supreme”.
When you arrive at our Culinary Innovation Center, you'll be greeted with beverages and light hors d'oeuvres. Our Executive Chef, Ron Marks will review the format and rules for your competition. After a brief review of kitchen safety guidelines, we assign the group into working teams and introduce the staff of Chef /Facilitators who will be working with your group.
Your menu will be pre-selected from a list of three different courses determined by our Chef and your group coordinator. Each team will prepare an entrée course made from a “Secret Ingredient” which will be either beef, seafood or chicken. Both teams will have access to our kitchen pantry which contains a broad selection of ingredients with which to prepare their entrée along with appropriate side dishes.
The teams will have 15 minutes to meet with their Chef to develop their menu and strategy. After that the teams have 90 minutes to prepare their entrees (enough to feed your whole group) and a “Show Plate” to submit to the judges. (Your group coordinator and our Executive Chef). Your Chef / Facilitator will stay nearby to provide some guidance, but it’s up to your team to make the winning plate. Entrees are judged on presentation, flavor and effective team collaboration.
After the judging, the whole group goes into our dining room to enjoy the entrees they prepared along with a first course and a dessert prepared by our chefs. During dessert, award presentations are made to the winning team.
